Cosplay
A portmanteau of the words costume and play, cosplay, at its core is a performance art of either imaginative self or identity performance. The inner force that compels an individual to engage with this art can be either insular or exhibitionist. Ostensibly, cosplay is fun and frivolous. Nevertheless, the emotions evoked by the cosplayer in the viewer are genuine and profound. This work was created as a celebration of cosplayers, and the joy they bring to the world. The images created encapsulate the fun and frivolity of this art form and showcases it through the medium of photography.
