10 Mill Street — ‘Hotel Nua’ Boutique Hotel
Adaptive reuse of an Existing Building as a Hotel
I am an Argentinean who has always been fascinated by design and creativity since my youth, and as a student in Ireland I had the chance to start studying what I always wanted to do. Working on this project gave me the opportunity to get to know a part of Dublin’s history and to relate directly to its past. I chose the concept of the Phoenix because it represents what I am trying to achieve with this project, which is to creatively revive this structure through incorporation of new techniques while preserving its historical essence. Thus was born Hotel Nua. The Phoenix is a centerpiece of the main lobby of the reception and permeates every detail of the original building and the design of the new extension. For this new era, I hope to continue learning new skills and developing myself in the fascinating world of design.
