Exploring the adaptive reuse of an existing building as a hotel at 10 Mill Street
The concept for my boutique hotel was inspired by my client Bijou Karman. She is an illustrator from LA. Her work is influenced by plants, bright colours and patterns. My concept has come from the leaf. I have modeled my extension to replicate the shape of a leaf with its stem through the building as a corridor. I also use the curves of a leaf throughout my design.
